Welcome to Faith Family Christian Center

A place where you can truly come as you are and be loved.

Whether you are investigating the claims of Christianity or you already have a strong and vital relationship with Jesus Christ, Faith Family is a place you can call home. We welcome a casual atmosphere where people are at home in a T-shirt and jeans or wearing their "Sunday go to meeting" best.

We believe that Jesus Christ has provided a way for people to live with peace and hope, even in a world where there seems to be neither . . . We would love to help you experience the hope that only He can give.

Come join us this weekend at Faith Family Christian Center
and discover the God you are looking for!

Micah 5:2

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,

though you are small among the clans of Judah,

out of you will come for me

one who will be ruler over Israel,

whose origins are from of old,

from ancient times
."

Isaiah 54:7

"For a brief moment I abandoned you,

but with deep compassion I will bring you back.

In recent weeks we have spent a great deal of time reading prophecies of divine judgment. Isaiah wrote to Israel and Judah with predictions of the judgment of God upon them for their spiritual adultery. Micah preaches the same message to the same people. Sin is going to be judged. But in the midst of all the preaching about the judgment God makes it clear that He still loves his people and everything that He is doing is in effort to bring them to a place where they will be blessed and live in peace like this world cannot offer.

Isaiah told the people that God would restore them because of his deep compassion. Micah reveals just how deep that compassion is. Micah preached that there was going to be a king born in the small city of Bethlehem, which was just a few miles from Jerusalem. This king was going to be one like no other, for his origins are from ancient times. Of course, we know that Micah was foretelling the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. Eternal God was going to become flesh and dwell among us. Micah goes on in the 5th chapter to tell us this new king will do at least three things.

1. He will bring his people home. Without Jesus we are like abandoned children – really quite helpless to make our way in this world. But when Jesus comes we will have a place to belong again. 2. He will care for his people like a shepherd cares for his sheep. Micah points out the fact that this shepherd will have unlimited strength, for He will be God with us.

3. His people will live in security and peace. The security comes from knowing that our King is bigger than anything in our lives – and His power reaches everywhere. When Micah says to us that “He will be their peace” to my mind comes the words of a song that we sang back in the 1960's. Some of the lyrics said something like this: “I don’t know about tomorrow - but I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand!”

Never forget

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
