We can trust God completely – and he is at work in our lives to help us understand that. Did Abraham learn that lesson? Genesis chapter 22 is one of the most incredible examples of trust in God in the whole Bible. God asked Abraham to do something that seemed totally contradictory to the promises and purposes of God – offer Isaac as a sacrifice! Yet, Abraham does not hesitate to follow through with God’s command. At this point in his life he is confident that whatever God is up to it is going to come out all right. It is in this incredible scene that Abraham comes to understand and even give God a new name – God will provide (Jehovah-Jireh).
That is something that you and I can take to the bank. That is the very nature of our heavenly Father. He will provide everything that we need for his purpose to be accomplished in our lives. So live today with confidence and faith in the one who will never fail you!
Be blessed.
